Entries Open:

Entries will open on October 1, 2012  and will remain so until filled or July 18th, 2013, whichever comes sooner.

Entries Close:

5pm AEST July 18, 2013, or when the field limit is reached

Waiting List:

Once the field has reached its limit, a waiting list will be activated

Distances and cut off times:

Swim – 1.9km – 1:15 after your wave start in the swim

Bike – 90km – 5:00 after your original wave start

Run – 21.1km – 7:30 after your wave start

There may be intermediate cut offs dependant on authorities’ requirements in relation to the bike course.

Competitors receive:

Qualifying:

There is no need to qualify to compete in a Ironman 70.3 race; however, due to the distances of the race we STRONGLY urge and recommend you have medical check by your personal doctor, to ensure your are physically fit – see our entry waiver within the entry form for more details.

Age requirements:

All entrants must be 18 years of age on race day.

Event day age groups:

The Ironman World Championship, Ironman World Championship 70.3 and all qualifying events have implemented a common rule: all age group athletes must compete in the five-year age group division corresponding to the athlete’s age on December 31 of the year of the event.

Capilano Honey Shotz provides the event nutrition. This will be supplied in your kit bag (for more info click here)

At aid stations, jelly lollies will also be available

Event Hydration:

Endura Rehydration Lemon Lime flavour will be available on course.

Water and flat coke will also be available on aid stations.

For anything bike related we suggest you speak to the local bike shop, who provide the bike mechanic services for the race:

A comprehensive competitor information booklet will be released 4-6 weeks prior to the event date.

Changes to entry:

You can make any alterations yourself by logging back into Active.com; however, should you have problems email yeppoon@ironman.com with your full name, registration number and required changes.

 

Timing band return:

Timing bands and chips must be returned to race headquarters in the event of withdrawal from the event and at the completion of the race. A $150 AUD replacement fee will be imposed on any athlete who does not return his/her timing band by 4pm on race day.
